Now you can 'Argos it' through your TV
Freesat, the subscription-free satellite TV service, has announced the addition of a dedicated Argos shopping channel enabling consumers to purchase gifts from the comfort of their sofa.
The British catalogue retailer first launched its own shopping channel on Sky in June as it looked to reverse the trend of declining sales.
Darren Frost, head of Argos TV said that the company was "very excited" about joining Freesat as it gives it the opportunity to reach many more potential customers.
Mr Frost added that Argos is currently the UK's biggest retailer of Freesat devices so it was the perfect platform to reach its customer base.
Home Retail, the company that owns Argos, recently said that they would not be closing any of their UK stores, despite a reported fall in sales of 9.6 per cent in the first quarter of 2011 compared with the same period last year
