Survey reveals that convenience is crucial for online shoppers
Consumers who will shop online for presents this Christmas consider convenience to be the key factor in their decision, according to a survey commissioned by Rackspace Hosting.
The opportunity to order gifts at home and have them delivered to the door by courier service was chosen by 70 per cent of respondents as the best aspect of internet shopping. It was revealed that 90 per cent of the adults surveyed plan to buy at least some of their Christmas presents online.
Rackspace's study also showed that Britons are keen to find a bargain, with 68 per cent of people citing the possibility of being offered a special deal as an incentive for purchasing gifts over the internet.
Online auction giant eBay has predicted December 4th will be the busiest Christmas shopping day this year, with up to 30 gifts bought a second.
