Natural Security launches first biometric and secure element payment authentication at the RBTE
Natural security, a pioneering provider of powerful authentication technology and member of the Biometrics Alliance Initiative, is to offer the retail technology and payments world a preview of the first payment and ID application from its unique authentication solution at the Retail Business Technology Expo at Earls Court London on the 13th & 14th March.
Andre Delaforge, Head of Marketing at natural security and president of the Biometrics Alliance Initiative, will be presenting on omni-channel authentication and previewing natural security’s technology at the Cards and Payments Solutions conference at 11.45am on 14th March.
The natural security solution uses both a secure element and biometric recognition to create a modern payment method which combines privacy with user-friendliness. The payment method is made up of two components: a smartcard, SD card, or alternative, which the user carries and identification that is unique to that user, such as finger print or finger vein recognition.
Cédric Hozanne, CEO at natural security, comments “New technology, particularly when used for verification purposes, is often met with wariness from those both inside and outside the industry. Personal data is a sensitive area, however using biometrics the natural security way is actually more secure and less intrusive than people assume. We strive to be synonymous with convenience, speed and security for service providers, banks and retailers, while at the same time guaranteeing the protection and privacy of personal data for end users. Our technology makes accepting contactless payments with biometric authorisation simple and fast for retailers to use. We hope it will initiate the next generation of in-store interactive services and new payment options for customers.”
